I am VERY impressed with what you have done in Merida. We have a village, San Cosme, which is 6km south of Ignacio Zaragoz which is 80 km from Cancun. Had a group of vets out there last Oct. They were able to spay and neuter over 350 dogs/cats. We need someone else to come out and work in the area again, sometime in Jan/Feb 2011. The cost would be just plane fare. We have a beautiful clinic you can stay in for free and the work would be done in San Cosme and Ignacio Zaragoza. Please let me know what you all think. I have pics of the facility and the village.
Gracias

Ever since I first witnessed the terrible life of many of the Yucatan dogs, especially in the beach areas of Progreso, Chelem and Chuburna, I have hoped and wished that a spay-neuter campaign would take place. I couldn't be happier to hear that it was such a wonderful success. I look forward on my future visits to see less animals in need of help. Great job and much appreciation to all those who took part in the event, both the locals who brought in the animals and the medical personnel and volunteers who cared for them before, during, and after surgery. Someday when I move there I hope to be able to do my part. For now I just donate to the cause.

Again, you're doing amazing work here, every little bit helps. As I posted on the "Injured Dog" post, it would be great if someone could set up a PayPal Donation account for those of us in the US to be able to forward money to Planned Pethood. It's ridiculously simple, and if not possible with a Mexican bank account, maybe someone with a US account will collect the money and forward? Sometimes and easy donation button means the difference between no money and some money....
