The zocalo (the park in the middle of the Centro Historico) has wireless internet, as do a number of parks around town (L'Ermita and Parque de la Paz are two we know of for sure). VIPS (sort of a Yucatan version of Denny's) and Sanborn's also have wireless internet, as do the three Starbuck's now in Merida. Laura,

I saw this group in Teatro Merida last April and searched for Esly Mendez about 6 weeks so that I could take classes with her. They have some great dancers lined up, and a few of us "newbies." The cost of the tickets is 50 pesos; they're on sale at the box office now as well. It's open seating, so get there early so you won't miss anything! Thanks for publicizing the tango show! To read about last year's festivities, just go to Yucatan Living's search box and do a search for Day of the Dead. You should come up with plenty of events that repeat every year... and, by the way, get bigger and better every year.
