Events: Yucatan State Fair

This Week… starting November 08, 2010

There’s only one Fair beginning in a Municipality this week. Everyone is busy getting ready for the State Fair! That having been said, we urge you not to miss the Fair and Expo in Tekax. This one is a great shopping opportunity and we can’t wait to see what San Bartolome Ecological Reserve is going to have there! Keep reading to find out more about this annual extravaganza.

Municipal Fiestas This Week

Yucatan Living Tekax Fair & Expo 2010  Nov. 8 – Nov. 17Tekax Expo Fair 2010
This event is in honor of San Diego de Alcala de Henares. The fair provides local vendors and artisans with a means of promoting their work to Yucatan and beyond. Some of the businesses that will participate include Muebleria Camara, Pinturas Berel, Servifiestas Tekax, Veterinaria Esquivel, Yamaha Motors, the Universidad Tecnologica Regional del Sur, the San Bartolome Ecological Reserve, and others. In addition, there will be a livestock show and cattle from eastern Yucatan will be for sale. In all, over 60 artisans are expected to participate in Tekax Expo 2010. Since they will each be paying $1,000 pesos for their places in the shopping district, we suspect that visitors can quite quickly complete their Christmas shopping list at the Tekax Expo 2010. We hear that the food is going to be excellent, so come to the fair in Tekax and come hungry! Many thanks to Gilberto Hernadez and Juan Camara for organizing this fair and getting the word out.
