Merida Events: Cuban Culture + More

This week as always…

For ongoing events and classes in Merida, please click our NEW Ongoing Events Page!!

On the Ongoing Events page, you will find a list of all ongoing classes and other regular events that are repeated every week. When a new class or ongoing event is announced, it will be highlighted at the top of both events pages, and then will be added to the Ongoing Events page. We hope this makes your planning easier!

As always, if you have an event for the English-speaking community of Merida that you would like to publicize, please contact us at info [at] yucatanliving [dot] com (hopefully at least a week before the event) and we will be happy to add it to our Events pages.

5 Responses to “Merida Events: Cuban Culture + More”

  1. Quick question- are there any racquetball or squash courts in Merida? My husband is an avid player and we are considering retiring in your lovely town. Thanks for the help! Carol

  2. Carol – Many B&Bs and hotels in Merida either have courts or advertise that they are located within a couple of miles of a facility that does. If you are considering a move, you might want to join either Merida Insider or Yolisto. Both are expat forums and are great places to ask specific questions.

  3. There are squash courts at the Salvador Alvarado stadium. Since everything is free of charge there, I assume that the court use is free of charge as well.

  4. I enjoyed the live performances at Jazzin Merida November the 7th. it was an awesome party with the performance of Conjunto Progreso, the traditional Cuban music and Latin Jazz. They rocked the show. The best part was i got some great Cuban cigars from that band. I really enjoyed the night with the performance and Cuban cigars.

  5. theres 2 courts in salvador alvarado stadium and they cost 5 dollars per hour
