Merida Events: Carnaval is Here!

This Week… starting February 13, 2012

Municipal Fiestas This WeekCarnaval Merida 2012

Yucatan Living There are no new municipal festivals or fiestas beginning this week because the entire state is involved in The First Carnival of the New Era. After Wednesday, Yucatan will be strangely quiet for a few days – but not to worry. We’re well on our way to the Semana Santa, when all of Yucatan will come alive again and a grand time will be had by all.

Without warning, our travelers find themselves in the middle of a Murder Mystery. The mayhem escalates when our brilliant Inspector Gustavo (Gary DeRose) is called to task to solve the murder. All murder suspects must be detained and questioned. And it is up to YOU the audience, to help Inspector Gustavo find our killer and bring him (or her) to justice!
This light-hearted comedy is a Whodunit Mérida-style! “Murder in Mérida: Love Kills” is an interactive performance following the traditional structure of the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre – introduce the characters, kill one of them, then figure out who did it. 2 Responses to “Merida Events: Carnaval is Here!”

  1. Is the carnival an annual event? If so, when does it begin/end in 2013?

  2. The dates of Carnival are the same around the world. You can just look up Carnaval dates 2013 and find them. But we’ll do it for you: February 8th until February 12th.
