Merida Events: Come Watch the Birds!

This Week… starting November 10, 2008
Bird Festival in Yucatan

Yucatan Living MEL Symposium Postponed
The symposium scheduled for November 15th with Joann Andrews and Jay Buell has been moved to November 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. as Joann has a prior commitment…

Yucatan Living Have You Heard About the Hash?
What’s the Hash, you may ask? The HASH is the world’s most eccentric running club that has been ongoing since 1938. It mainly involves a fun run/walk along a pre-set trail that lasts 45 minutes to an hour, in the tradition of hare and hounds. The run/walk is followed by some drinking and singing. The Hash slogan is “a drinking club with a running problem.” Don’t worry about the exercise part; most Hashers are out of shape! You can find a HASH club in every major city of the world, in 178 countries, with over 20,000 people who call themselves Hashers. For more info check out: www.gthhh.com. Our local hash club is just getting started, so meetings are either Wednesday or Thursday night… we’re not sure! But we’re sure you’re going to have fun. To find out more, email Julie at quotablejulie [at] hotmail [dot] com.

As always…

For ongoing events and classes in Merida, please click our NEW Ongoing Events Page!!

On the Ongoing Events page, you will find a list of all ongoing classes and other regular events that are repeated every week. When a new class or ongoing event is announced, it will be highlighted at the top of both events pages, and then will be added to the Ongoing Events page. We hope this makes your planning easier!

As always, if you have an event for the English-speaking community of Merida that you would like to publicize, please contact us at info [at] yucatanliving [dot] com (hopefully at least a week before the event) and we will be happy to add it to our Events pages.
