Beverly,
The shoe fair in Ticul seems to be an annual event. Last year, it was held in Ticul in mid-December. You can read our article here: http://www.yucatanliving.com/events/nutcracker-sales-must-be-the-holidays.htm I don't know of any other shoe fairs, but many of the producers have formed quite active associations now and generally bring their products to most fairs in the area. Just keep an eye on our list of fiestas and try to make it to as many in the south and west as you can.

Someone told me that in a nearby town there is a "shoe fair" where they put up tents and sell lots of shoes. I don't know what that is called or when it is. Would you tell me if that was a one time event or if it happens again this fall? If it is taking place again, what is the date or has it already gone by.

Thank you,
Beverly
