This Week… starting May 07, 2012
Municipal Fiestas This Week
Panaba Fiesta: May 10 – May 20
This event is in honor of San Isidro Labrador. A trip to Panaba is probably a good idea about now. This municipality is just inland from San Felipe and Rio Lagartos. It also just this side of Tizimin, which means it is, quite literally, in the gateway to horse country – with the best beaches (and seafood) nearby. Some of the land on the larger ranches is now for sale, so – if country living by the beach is in your future, this event will give you a great idea of what life is like in Panaba.

Yucatan’s Paralympic team includes twelve athletes that will participate in weight-lifting, javelin and shot put. The paintings offered at auction will begin at $3,000 pesos and there will be a catalog of the paintings included with each invitation. There will also be a cocktail party for those who have invitations and catalogs on the evening of the auction.
