This Week… starting March 12, 2012
Municipal Fiestas This Week
There are no new municipal festivals or fiestas beginning during the month of March. Yucatecos, throughout the state, are preparing for Semana Santa (Holy Week), one of the biggest religious and cultural events of the year.
Semana Santa March 30 – April 8
Semana Santa (Holy Week) lasts for ten days, beginning on the Friday before Good Friday and ending on Easter Sunday. Learn more about this wonderful period of time in Yucatan from Yucatan Living’s full articles and videos at Semana Santa and Passion of the Christ.
Note: Please don’t forget our Coming Soon section, following the weekly events, where you will find information about events in the coming weeks and months.
