Re: Vehicles “with a loudspeaker”… I know what’s “wrong” with the States! How do people know what’s going on in the neighborhood? Who’s having a sale? When the circus is in town? Surely Americans don’t depend “just” on newspapers and television! How could you be sure everybody hears the “news?” No No… that’s simply not the way to do things. One must have trucks with loudspeakers (VERY loud speakers) – it is a necessity – yes?

Hola, Gina. Que gusto escucharte!

In a word: no!

We've done our best to understand the history and economics of Mexico, and it is our opinion that there has never been a better time to live here then now. We've also been following the economic and immigration issues in the States, and in our opinion, there has never been a better time to leave there. We have met several Yucatecos who have returned to live and work here, and they are happy they did. But we also understand that it is a very personal choice. The one thing we would remind all Mexicans is this: there is so much more to life than money. Nos vemos.
