Been living here for about 3 months now. We are thrilled with our new home and of all of the things this area has to offer. How about of all of you out there? So, my point is, the beaches are one of the things this area has to offer and we gringos so enjoy. Everyday, I see visitors, like me, out there walking, looking for shells or just enjoying the view. They (the beaches and ocean) are simply, beautiful. I know of few other beaches where we can find such peace and tranquility and yet have convenience at hand. Now for the problem. There is trash on the beach. We all see it. Everyone talks about it or more correctly complains about it. We seem to think that it is "their" problem and "they" should fix this. Yet when I look out, I see mostly gringos enjoying the beach. We have all chosen to make this a home, be it full or part time. That makes this our problem too. There is a very easy solution, let's pick up the trash. Maybe we can all devote a few minutes to making this place we all seem to love, just a little better. We strolled out one day and cleaned an area of about 300 to 400 meters. It was so easy, and only took 15 minutes. Just think what we could do as a group. Yep, we would have to do it regularly, like exercise, taking vitamins or brushing our teeth. It's gotta be done. The only question is WHO is going to do it? Wouldnt' it be so awsome to add something back to this beautiful place we love to use for our pleasure? If anyone else is interested in becoming part of the solution and making this part of our planet a better place, write back. Maybe we can start something big. Hey everyone!
