Hey Trudy!

You look glowing, healthy, happy. Miss you so much. So wonderful how your life has blossomed into the one you envisioned when you made the very brave decision to move to Merida.

All my love

Now is definitely a good time to visit Merida. The weather for the next four or five months here is perfect! For a cheap, clean and safe place to stay, we would recommend either Las Arecas B&B or Luz En Yucatan. You can get a room at either place for under $45 US per night, they are both downtown, clean and safe. At Las Arecas, you will also get an American breakfast. Enjoy your trip!

Hi Trudy, I am so happy to have found someone that actually lives in Merida. I have about 3 weeks of vacation to use before the first of the year. I have always wanted to visit Merida, and think now would be a good time. Can you help me with information of a nice place to stay. To keep the cost down, I am looking for something cheap, clean, and safe. I would greatly appreciate any info you can offer. Thank you tons. Ron

Dear Trudy:
I first came across you in the book "Living Abroad in Mexico", by Ken Luboff.
I've grown attached to Merida during my two former stays there in Jan-Feb.05 and 06. Now I'd like to rent a small house in a surrounding neighborhood for 500 usd a month.
As a favor, do you know of a good source of house rentals? Do you have a suggestion how I could contact someone with a house to rent (for one month-mid Jan-mid Feb 2007)?
I really liked your comments, people seem so very friendly, but we must be so strange to them, rather like from a foreign planet. I like the spirituality there. Also, I'm older and people are friendlier to older folks.

Best regards--Rudy Aukschun
