really amazing,the haciendas in to yucatan, some is very dificult search, i know many,very,very,wonderful, please ask to people not to guides? i sorry my inglish, any way welcome to my state !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and his brother just went to Hacienda Tabi a few days ago. I’m not sure how they were able to “get in” but the pictures he sent to me indicate that nobody else was there and there was a dog on the front steps so maybe somebody lives there? He said it was amazing and so different then anything we have found here in California. I can’t wait to visit it when I am down there visiting!

Thank you for the update, Rob. We haven’t been out to Tabi in quite awhile, but we did hear that the government had shut it down. Not sure who owns it anymore. You probably would have been perfectly safe “wandering in”, but we understand your unwillingness to risk it.

Jan 04/09 Hacienda Tabi; very difficult to find, once we found it, the gates were locked
We considered ‘wandering in’ but that meant leaving our car in an orange grove, un attended.
Given the distance back to civilization, it wasn’t worth the risk.
