An Ideal
Merida Vacation Rental
Just two blocks from Santiago Park, this renovated colonial home with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 baths and swimming pool has everything you want for the ideal Merida vacation rental.
Casa de Sava is designed for two to four people who want to visit Merida in relaxed style. The tall ceilings and original pasta-tiled floors, along with not-too-precious antiques and beautiful colors create a home full of air, light and visual surprise.

The house is situated on a wide and quiet street, a short walk to one of Merida’s most charming parks. Casa de Sava’s front room features dramatically-lit built-in bookcases that flank what is probably Merida’s only fireplace. A computer and TV media room provides a quiet spot for checking up on email, reading or watching TV.
Casa de Sava’s two bedrooms are at the back of the house, ensuring peace and quiet in the morning hours. They have attached baths with polished cement walls and open showers. Each looks out to a private garden.
The Yucatecan-style kitchen opens onto a covered back patio. It is the perfect place for an early morning coffee, a Margarita in the afternoon or a late-night snack. The unique, cenote style pool commands the view from the patio, providing both visual and physical relief from the tropical heat. Light up the pool at night, turn on the waterfall, and enjoy your dramatic and beautiful back yard!

Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and air conditioning for your sleeping comfort. High count cotton sheets and fluffy towels are provided. The house is decorated throughout with whimsical antiques found in local stores beautifully arranged to give a feeling of comfort and style.

You won’t want to leave…
But when you absolutely must, you’ll find that Casa de Sava is centrally located. It’s an easy walk to Santiago Park, the zocalo or Plaza Grande and Calle 60, the city’s main avenue. There is a taxi stand at Santiago Park. Taxi costs are inexpensive for traveling around the city. Travel agencies and the bus station are also within walking distance.
Day trips to the region’s attractions, like Chichen Itza, Uxmal, Dzibilchaltun, Progreso or Celestun are easy to do from Casa de Sava. Phone our concierge. If you rent a car, safe, on-street parking is available in front of the house.

Santiago Park is two blocks away, with its daily mercado, local restaurants, Tuesday evening live music and dancing under the stars, pharmacy, movie theatre and grocery store. In the other direction, you can even walk to the Zoo. Roam a few blocks farther and you’ll find museums, restaurants, shopping and many local events, as well as the Merida English Library, a local gathering place for English-speaking expats.
Casa de Sava is available for rental by the month at a rate of $1,350.00 USD.
