Casa Perlita is a hidden gem behind a colonial facade in the Santa Ana District of Merida’s Centro Historico. Behind it’s wrought-iron-gated front door lies a luxurious 3 bedroom, 4 bath vacation rental home full of luxurious appointments and indulgent amenities.
It’s All About the Pool
Casa Perlita’s spacious lounge, terrace and dining room all open up onto a generously-sized filtered swimming pool. The three gushing fountains bring the sound of water flowing, which echoes throughout the house.
What could be better than to sit by your own private pool, enjoying breakfast or cocktails or a home-barbequed dinner… or all three? At Casa Perlita, you’ll be so comfortable, you won’t want to leave.
But That’s Not All
Casa Perlita has two downstairs bedroom, each with air conditioning, it’s own private garden and a spacious bathroom with a floor-to-ceiling glass shower looking out into the garden.
Upstairs, the master bedroom suite includes a spacious bedroom with a brick-vaulted ceiling, a bathroom with a glass shower looking out onto a private outdoor terrace, a spacious closet and private access to the roof terrace overlooking the central courtyard. Three roperos and the closet provide plenty of storage space for clothes and other travel gear.
The Best Location
If you do find yourself wanting to leave, you’ll be glad you are staying at Casa Perlita, because almost everything you’ll want to see in Merida is within walking distance.
Casa Perlita is located on Calle 68 in the Santa Ana District. Within one block you will find a convenient neighborhood market and a very popular cocina economica. The house is also within blocks of both Santa Ana Park, with its church, daily market, art museum and galleries, and of Santiago Park with its daily market, movie theatre, grocery store, pharmacy and Tuesday night outdoor dancing to live music.
Also just blocks away is Paseo de Montejo, Merida’s stately avenue lined with Turn-of-the-Century mansions, cafes and an outdoor sculpture exhibit. Here you will also find the Archaeological Museum, the Casa Molina museum, as well as banks, ATMs, and various restaurants.
Walk in the other direction for six blocks and you’ll find yourself at the zocalo, the very center of Merida. There you can enjoy restaurants, shopping, museums and many outdoor activities throughout the week, including open-air markets, live music and dance performances.
Prices
Casa Perlita can comfortably sleep six people in three bedrooms, with four bathrooms. Our prices are as follows:
Low Season: April 1 to October 31
$300/night with a 3 night minimum
High Season: November 1 to March 31
$2700/week - One week minimum stay
Holiday Seasons:
$3250/week - One week minimum stay
Holiday rates apply to Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years, including 1 week before and 1 week following the date of the holiday.
