We also remember all the years when gringos were reassured by the fact that that hospitals in Yucatan were affiliated with hospitals in such places as Miami. To our surprise – and delight, at the end of this bulletin, we discovered that it is now the other way around. One of the drawing cards for Broward County, Florida, to have a close relationship with Merida is the fact that medical care here is so good and so much less expensive than in the North American health care system.
