I love article “Pets and Vets in Yucatan”, Very good information and message has been passed to the visitors. It’s a good fact that every one should care for pets as we get love from them too. I love pets and I have adopted two puppies, they are too cute and adorable. Thanks for sharing this lovely article.

I think I already sent you an email but if not here it is again. We have a medical clinic in San Cosme, Quintana Roo, 6 km south of Ignacio Zaragoza which is 80 km from Cancun. We had a spay and neuter clinic Oct 2009. We would like to have another one.

The vets and everyone can stay in the clinic and the only cost to them would be their transportation. They would also, of course, have to bring supplies that have to do with an animal clinic. I have pictures I can send . We would like to have the clinic in Feb or Jan of 2011. If you can let me know it would be wonderful.

Hola, Heidi...
The last photo on the page is a photo of URL all grown up. He turned out to be quite big, actually. His head is larger than he was when we found him. How much does he weigh? No idea... but when he stands up on his hind legs, he's almost as tall as W. Gringa (about 5'6"). Send us a photo... we'd love to see it (info@yucatanliving.com). What did you name her? And what happened to her sister?

Dear Working Gringos

My husband and I just adopted a puppy from Cabo San Lucus who looks IDENTICAL to URL! When we first saw the picture we thought it was her actually. Her sister and her were found in a box next to a dumpster. We are just curious how big URL has gotten (height/weight)?? Since ours was also a rescue we have no idea how big to expect her to get. Would love to send you a pic...they are IDENTICAL!

Dear Working Gringos,

Thank you so much for all the information on this great website. It's like a virtual trip, very very helpful. I'm trying to learn more about Mexico and the Yucatan in particular.
One question arises regarding cat pets in Merida: are they also subject to being caught and euthanized if let roam free outisde their home in Merida? Is euthanizing stray animals only practiced in larger cities like Merida, or in smaller towns in suburbs for instance as well?

Thanks so much.
